Augmentt Co-Founder Derik Belair Joins CompTIA Business Applications Advisory Council

Belair joins a group of thought leaders and subject matter experts representing cloud software platforms and applications

Ottawa, ON – September 01, 2022 – Augmentt announced today that company co-founder and CEO, Derik Belair, has joined the prestigious CompTIA Business Applications Advisory Council. Comprised of thought leaders and subject matter experts representing cloud software platforms and applications, members of the Business Applications Advisory Council provide valuable insight that helps develop resources and tools to help achieve specific business objectives and advance the Software as a Service (SaaS) industry.

“I’m equally honored and thrilled to be joining the CompTIA Business Applications Advisory Council,” said Belair. “Both the organization and the Council are highly regarded in the industry globally and I’m excited to begin making some contributions which will also provide Augmentt with the opportunity to further broader our leadership in the cloud application and SaaS management space.”

The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) is a leading voice and advocate for the $5 trillion global information technology ecosystem. With global headquarters located just outside Chicago, Illinois, CompTIA is a connected worldwide community of informed advocates dedicated to innovation, learning, and opportunity.

“The SaaS market continues to deliver new solutions to help businesses create capabilities and efficiencies in their digital transformation journey,” said Deborah Schildkraut, vice president, community engagement, CompTIA. “But the market can be challenging for customers and their technology partners. Our Business Applications Advisory Council brings clarity and direction on the opportunities in this market. We are delighted to welcome Derik to the council and the insights and vision he’ll bring to the conversation.”

Prior to founding Augmentt, Belair served as Vice President at SolarWinds, leading the digital marketing strategy for SolarWinds’ Cloud division. He has been working in the channel for over 20 years, starting at Corel Corp and later becoming the first employee at N-able Technologies in April of 2000.

“I know well how the Council’s members collaborate regularly to address emerging industry trends and issues affecting the SaaS marketplace,” added Belair. “This advocacy has had a very positive impact on establishment of new partnerships and in promoting the value that SaaS holds.”
