Demand for SaaS management from MSPs has nowhere to go but up

According to a CompTIA pre-pandemic report from 2019, MSP customers were already seeking SaaS management from them more than any other service. In fact, CompTIA suggested that a full 60% of MSP customers were asking for SaaS management in 2019.

Of course, without up-to-date data we can only speculate, but given how SaaS adoption continues to grow and related factors such as remote workers using personal devices remain commonplace, it stands to reason that SaaS management from MSPs will be in even greater demand in 2021 and beyond.

Organizations need expertise from properly equipped MSPs to manage, secure, and optimize both the growing SaaS stack and the unauthorized “Shadow IT” applications that come along with it.

Statistical trends have made the situation plain. A BMC report on SaaS in 2021 revealed how 93% of CIOs have already adopted or are planning to adopt SaaS solutions imminently.

The same report offers a statistic on the impact of that wide-scale adoption: 40% of all software spending now goes to Shadow IT and 33% of security attacks will target Shadow IT in the near future.

For agile and forward-thinking MSPs, Augmentt’s SaaS Application Management platform can perfectly position them to take on a SaaS management role for their customers.

The platform was designed specifically to help MSPs quickly and efficiently oversee their customers’ entire SaaS ecosystem, including Shadow IT. It also includes a complete SaaS service enablement framework to help MSPs generate Monthly Recurring Revenue from SME customers.
